A possible cause of your low back pain could be a strength imbalance between your left and right legs. When I was programmed to test these two exercises during my herniated disc recovery, I thought to myself, “no wonder I injured my back.” I could barely do 15# front rack barbell step ups for 8 reps & could barely single leg deadlift with my own bodyweight. I was completely humbled.
But as I have been progressing these exercises over the past few months, I am noticing a HUGE difference. I feel stronger & my back feels better. My squat looks better & is so much stronger than before. It is amazing what these two exercises have done for my back health and performance in the gym.
These two exercises should be done and progressed each week. Need help on how to progress these movements? Need more direction on how to keep your back happy and healthy? Send me a message and I’d be happy to help!
