Every minute of every day we are being judged. It does not matter what we do or do not do. It’s one of the hard truths about life.
But I think it’s time to make a change. It’s time to adopt the mindset that if you’re going to get judged you might as well get judged for doing something that makes you happy like spending time with family, getting fit and healthy, or being a total nerd and learning about something new and fun.
You can’t please everyone. There is nothing you can do to make everyone happy and avoid the haters, nay-sayers, and judgement of others. Anyone who has ever done anything significant has come up against criticism and judgement.
You can choose to listen and let it impact you. Or you can choose to go with instinct you feel kicking you in the gut. Chase your goals and use the criticism as your fuel.
The bigger your goals, the harder you work, the harder the judgement you’ll receive. Use that as a metric to the direction you’re headed.
But also take the time to seek out those who support you and want to help you on your journey. When it comes to health related goals one of our favorite sayings is “fitness is a byproduct of relationships and culture.” Surround yourself with like-minded people who aren’t criticizing you because you’re on the same journey you’re on. Then take the outside hate and turn it into your anthem for success.
